Here’s another great idea for a free Christmas gift! Page 3 of yesterday’s edition of USA Weekend (November 15, 2009) has a coupon for Buy One Hasbro Card Game, Get One Free (up to $6.99). Kroger stores have Hasbro card games on sale Buy One, Get One free.
Buy 2 Hasbro card games for $6.99 or less and use one BOGO coupon and you’ll get both free since the store sale will give you one free and the coupon will give you one free!
Always purchase B1G1 deals with other products, it just makes for an easier transaction.

So the kids and I went to Kroger to use up the last of my coupons for the Mega Event…
Good thing my oldest was too good to come with us, he would have never fit in the cart!

This is my favorite, my 3 year old was “shopping” for “ketchup, and wools (rolls) and ice cream.” Notice the ad is upside down, and her foot propped on the door. Seriously.

At one point the baby escaped… we can’t have any of that now can we?
You must know he was screaming bloody murder at this point. Fun times.

Total before coupons, $68.08

After coupons, $15.73
 Sweet.
Driving home, we found this guy, who like greased lightning jumped into my lap when I opened the door to grab his collar. I was sad to see him go, I like dog butt in my face, after all. But his owners were glad to have him back. I guess they like dog butt too!

Go HERE $1.00/2 Ghiradelli Baking Products – (coupons.com) to print a coupon for Ghirardelli’s baking products. I have never seen a coupon for this brand and am excited to see it! You can use this for the baking mixes at Kroger this week during the Mega sale or lust buy some nice chocolate chips! I won’t waste the good stuff on the kids!

This is my Parade magazine, on page 13 there is a coupon for $3 off and Surf detergent. This is a great coupon to use this week at the Kroger mega event. It makes a good sized box only $2 after mega event and coupon.

So I just got back from Kroger! I would have made a video for you all but I had two kids with me one who is having asthma problems and I had to get out of the store in a reasonable amount of time!

Kroger started their Mega event this morning. During this Mega event, when you buy 10 participating items you get $5 automatically taken off your total when you use your Kroger card.

I bought 120 participating Mega items, so before I even used my coupons or Kroger sales prices were taken off they automatically took off $60!

My total before coupons, Kroger card and Mega event was $324.37!

After Kroger card, coupons and Mega event I paid $106.47! For all this!!

If I had not had ANY coupons, just my Kroger card I would have paid $198.74. So even if you don’t have any coupons it is still a great deal right now. But you have no excuse to not have ANY coupons, you can go HERE and see a list of ones you might need and print some!

I didn’t have a list when I went. When I walked in I grabbed a store circular and just started walking slowly down every isle. The Mega event items are marked very easily to read. If I came to a Mega event item, I just flipped through my binder to see if I had that item in coupons. I bought almost everything in 3’s because my store doubles and triples 3 of each coupon. For example the evaporated milk was on sale for $.99, but it was part of the Mega event and when I bought 10 items it dropped the price of the milk to $.49 cents, then I had $.50 off coupons so it made them FREE.

Also, much to my surprise I got back $5 in catalina’s after I checked out! $3.50 from General Mills for the fruit snacks, $1 for the Krustez pancake mix, and $.50 from Dole.

There’s also a catalina deal until 10/25 where if you buy 2 or more bags of Nestle or Wonka candy (11 oz or larger), you get a coupon for your next order (OYNO): Buy 2, get a $1 OYNO; Buy 3, get $2 OYNO; Buy 4 or more and get $3 OYNO. Great deals at Kroger this week, ends Tuesday!

Thanks to my friend Susan who reminded me of the deals as I was walking in the store!
I used hardly any coupons, I only had $9 in manufacturers coupons. All my saving were store sale deals. Just had to swipe my Kroger card!
Grapes are .99 cents a pound
Goldfish $1.00 a bag limit 10 ( try the Smores kind! Awesome)
Cheese $1.00 a bag limit 10 ( I am going back and getting more to stick in my freezer!)
Apples and Pears are $.99 cents a pound!
Pomegranates are in season and are $2 each. Had to get one!
Juicy Juice was on sale for $1.99 I used a .50 off 2 coupon, doubled to $1.00
Pringles were 4 for $5, I had .50 coupon, doubled to $1.

I am really excited about the meat deals. I freeze a very large amount of meat when I can find it on sale. Almost everything that I cook with comes out of my freezer frozen, that I got a good deal on.
I got beautiful New York Strip Steaks for $3.99 a pound.
Pork Chops were only $1.59 a pound.

More chops! My kids love these marinated and then baked in the oven. I just stick them in a ziplock with some oil, soy sauce, garlic and honey for a few hours, then bake at 350 for about 40min.
This was the best deal!! Boneless Pork Loin for only $.99 cents a pound. Limit 2 per purchase with a $10 purchase. I am going back a few times to pick up more of these. I stuck on in the crock pot right now for pulled pork tonight and the other I am going to make a killer Mexican dish that my Sister in law Tonia makes with green chilies served over rice. Tonia can you post the recipe??? Pretty please!

My total before my Kroger card was $188.98
After my Kroger card and $9 in coupons it was $86.65!

You don’t have to have coupons to get a good deal this week at kroger!

** Update, I went back again to get more pork, and steaks to freeze…. I forgot and left them in the car!! I found them the next day when I was pulling my chair out the back for my son’s baseball game! 8 packages of meat RUINED!!
