Kroger has a great 10 for 10 sale this week. One of my favorites this week is the Ken’s dressing for $1. There were $1/1 Ken’s Dressing, exp. 2/28/13 (SS 01/13/13 R) coupons in your paper!

If you were in Houston there were 2 coupons, 1 for the 16oz coupons and the a coupon for the 9oz! Usually we get these free at HEB, but this week we got lucky and they are Kroger!

* Remember that you can use Italian dressing as a marinade for chicken!

::LAST DAY FOR SALE!!::

Today is the LAST day to get the great deals at Kroger for this weeks Mega Event! Don’t miss them!

I posted this tutorial a few months ago for a different mega event, but it helps explain how to shop at one if you are not sure.

This current mega event Jan of 2013, is a Buy 5 Save $5.

This is the front page of the ad. It will explain what items are on sale ( although there are a TON more in the store unadvertised) and tell you what your final price will be AFTER the mega event $$ came off at the end.

When you are in the store, make sure to look for the gray and yellow tags and signs letting you know that this particular item is a mega event item. The first price is the price you will pay if you don’t buy 5 mega event items. The lower price is the price you will pay (before coupons) IF you buy 5 mega event items.

I separate the items in my cart by non- mega event items and mega event items so that I can keep track of how many I have. This trip I had 30. I also double count them when I am checking out. The $5 for each 5 items you buy will automatically come off your total when you scan your Kroger card and check out at the register. You can also check your receipt and make sure that you get all the money off that you are supposed to by looking for a <* by each item.

Kroger mega event

This was my grocery trip the other night, I bought a lot of cereal as it is priced so good and we were really low. I can’t even tell you how long it took to check out. I thought I was going to strangle someone. Having only self check out’s open at 10:00pm makes me crazy! Anyway, it probably evened out with the fact that I was by myself and didn’t have any kids with me! 🙂

My store had a lot of good clearance, you can see my $.79 Cover Girl Mascara finds over HERE. They also had all the Horizon Organic milk marked at $.25 ( they are normally $1) my kids love them and I don’t buy them often. Priced at $.25 that is basically the same price as Capri Suns so I grabbed 4 cases. There was still a lot more if anyone needs any.

My Kroger had a stand with these cereal bowls. You get the bowl free when you buy 2 boxes of Kelloggs cereal. The weird part is they don’t tell you which cereal, but I bought the cereal on Mega Event and I got 4 bowls free.

There is STILL clearance Holiday cookie dough. They are priced at 2/$.99!

Finally, remember the FREE coupon for the Good n Natural bars from last week in the paper? Mine had them today and I was able to pick up 7 for free!

Kroger Mega Event is still running until Tuesday! There are some items that are unmarked but are apart of the sale. Cover Girl is a P&G product and so far the mascara and all eye products are included  (I have been testing things).

Plus, there are a BUNCH of the Cover Girl mascara on clearance. I found some on clearance not even close to where the mascara is. It was in a small basket by the baby items, so make sure to look all around your store.
