Have you ever watched Extreme Couponing on TV? Well I have. You get these really high totals and then they take them down to almost nothing with coupons. Totally legit, and really cool to watch. But then do you see the rest of their shopping trips for that week or month? No, because they wouldn’t be that impressive, when they actually have to buy real food for their families.

My total before coupons was $584. After coupons was $309. I had $298 in coupons and saved 50% plus walked out with catalinas for next time.

I was totally happy and quite pleased with my trip today. I have to say I was a little surprised at the disappointment from people that I didn’t save more today….

What I could have done, was planned this trip to only buy all the cheapest stuff so that I had a really low total to show you guys. But then I would have to go back tomorrow and actually buy real food, and would you want to see that trip? Probably not because it wasn’t as impressive. I also think it is a little dishonest to just only show the lowest possible total hauls. Just not that realistic. I think saving 50% on real food and expensive items is much more realistic and what I personally am interested in!
