Love HEB, hate their coupon policy or lack of one! You can not combine the yellow hang tag coupons in the store with a manufacturers coupon as those ARE manufacturers coupons! They also do not double or triple coupons. Ever. If they ever jumped on the wagon they would give Kroger a run for their money! These are my favorite deals this week thanks to MDM!

Unfortunately, HEB is not super coupon friendly, if they ever jumped on the band wagon with Kroger there would be no competition, I would only ever shop at my HEB Market.


But, they do not combine coupons and they do not double or triple.

At my last coupon class one of the ladies pointed out to me that when you see the yellow hanging tags at HEB, a few of them have an “S” in the corner, meaning store coupon. You can actually combine a manufacturers coupons with these!! I had no idea, I though all their hanging coupons were manufacturers coupons! There are not many that have this, still 95% of the yellow coupons are manufacturers.

  • HEB Issued coupons
    • Manufacturer-sponsored coupons (Type M coupon; has an ‘M’ in bottom left corner)
    • Store-sponsored coupons (Type S Coupon; has an ‘S’ in the bottom left corner)
    • Big Savings coupons (Type B coupons; has a ‘B’ in the bottom left corner)
    • The above mentioned H-E-B issued coupons are typically
      • Available at store level and typically yellow in color

A few quick and easy tips to make every day Earth Day.

1. Turn off your lights, television, and radio when you leave the house to save electricity.

2. Wash your clothes in cold water instead of warm or hot.

3. Fix leaky faucets—they can waste thousands of gallons of water per year.

4. Remember to turn off your computer, printer, and other equipment when it’s not being used.

5. Bring any unused plastic bags back to your local H-E-B to be recycled.

6. Don’t let the water run while you brush your teeth. Simply wet the brush and use a pre-filled cup to rinse.

7. Try to carpool to work. Many workplaces have a carpooling program.

8. Change your home air-conditioning filter every month to keep things running efficiently.

9. Remember to check your tire pressure regularly. If you keep your tires properly inflated you can increase your miles per gallon and extend the life of your tires.

10. When grocery shopping, bring your own reusable bags to reduce the number of plastic shopping bags used.
