Sooooo, this BOGO FREE Scotch-Brite™ Disinfecting Wipes coupon is back! It makes it really easy to stock up on disinfecting wipes. The only draw back?? Many people have complained about the smell of the wipes. They are not horrible but not great IMO. However, I am using them to clean, and they do the job so I am in if I can find the cheap ones!
In my area, at 2 Walmart’s within 2 miles of each other, we have 2 prices…
Scotch Brite Wipes: $1.62 – $2.48
BOGO FREE Scotch-Brite™ Disinfecting Wipes
Total: $1.24 each or as low as $.62!

Which store had them for the lower price?

Oh, I like the smell! I stocked up when the coupon was available last fall and hope to get more this time around, too.

My comment doesn’t apply to the wipes, but it applies to Walmart. I was at 242 the other day using up my last two $7 Allegra coupons. The cashier started out saying I don’t know if these coupons will work. So, I said ‘well you can try.” After she was all through, she started telling me that I shouldn’t get more than what the Allegra cost ($5.94, they went up from $5.49 earlier in the week) I had bought Yakisoba and Carefree too. I said “Walmart’s coupon policy…..” She interrupted me saying ‘that doesn’t matter”. I knew there was no need to say anything more. I did notice that she wasn’t busy at all. I guess everyone else had already figured out what I didn’t know:0 Has Walmart changed their policy about overage or was this elderly lady deciding for herself what Walmart (her employer) should do?!

She is deciding herself. It is so weird that they do things like this. I just don’t understand it, coupons do not affect them anyway at all.

It has never made any since to me why cashiers make such issue about consumers using coupons. The only real reason I can come up with is they just do not want to do their job correctly. Correct me if I am wrong, but the store gets reimbursed for every coupon used if submitted correctly plus an .08 cent fee. So are they not actually making a small percentage? With the potential number of coupons a chain like Walmart or Target can submit, that amount could be fairly large.
June says
I’ve read the same thing about the reimbursement for stores. The stores know coupons are very profitable. It’s the cashiers that mistakenly think those of us who use coupons are getting away with something. We’re paying for our stuff, with coupons and cash.

I agree about the smell, lol. Especially the ones in the yellow container – yuck, yuck, yuck! But to each his own nose!
