Let me tell you the story of my old office chair.  It “fell off the back of a truck” about fifteen years ago.  It only had one arm.  The wheels stuck.  And after fifteen year it had stains and scratches that I had no hope of knowing the origin.

It also was encouraging bad posture.  I would find myself sitting in it slumped over my desk.  Often.

So last August I decided it was time to get a new chair.  I had always been fascinated by Ball Chairs– I didn’t know anyone who actually HAD one but people who used them online seemed to really like them.  I watched videos, read the measurements, did the research and decided to pull the trigger.

I got the Gaiam Balance Ball Chair in purple.  I’m sitting in it now.  With both feet planted firmly on the floor and my  back straight.  And when the Moana Soundtrack gets really exciting I can bounce up and down a little bit and it’s very fun.

If you find yourself slouching at your desk or just uncomfortable in your seat I cannot recommend this enough.  It was very easy to put together when it arrived and I just have to use the provided air pump to firm it up about once a month.  The cat (and her claws) have been up and down many times with no damage to the actual ball so I think short of sticking it with a knife it’s going to hold up.
