HEB always has great deals, and it is the store I go to when I have to run on quick for things, and don’t have coupons with me. They have pretty low prices for the most part and there are always in-store deals that are good. HOWEVER, they are really making it hard as a blogger to post their deals.
There are 6 different ads in my Houston area, and so when I write up one, I get a bunch of emails and comments that “my stores doesn’t have that” and so on. Plus, the yellow coupons might be in different places at each store and when people don’t know where to look, they get frustrated and mad at me.
SOOOOO, I love HEB and there are great deals to be had there, but it will be a YMMV (your milage may vary) and you should always check your own ad.
The meal deal in my ad was really good! You buy shrimp and you will get $10.55 in free items!
Other great deals:
Avocados $1 each!
Buy Kens Salad Dressing $1
Use $1/1 Ken’s Dressing, exp. 2/28/13 (SS 01/13/13 R)
Total: FREE
Duncan Hines Cake Mix $.88 (look for Red Velvet)
Use $0.50/1 Duncan Hines Signature Red Velvet Cake Mix printable
Or use $0.50/1 Duncan Hines Signature Red Velvet Cake Mix printable
Total: $.33 each!

Not just HEB, but I think couponing in general. I just noticed several recent coupons that have a limit of TWO coupons per transaction (I think it was Slim Fast and Suave?).

Went to HEB today and found that the Duncan Hines red velvet cake is part of the “signature” line, not the “classic” line that’s on sale for 88 cents. The signature line is $1.38, so .50/$1 coupon will make it 88 cents.

i have 2 Joe-V’s near me and i never go there. if i had kids at home i probably would.
HEBs are all 20-30 minutes from me. 🙁
in the past when i got to the one in Spring/45 a lot of times the Yellow coupon board had expired ones. i told the manager about it a couple of times awhile back and it’s better now. but, you never know if there will be yqs or not for what i hear about on the web.
all these store changes are maddening for me.
i don’t have a smart phone, so i have to go old school, hand written everything, ahead of time.
