I have been posting all weekend about the GREAT HEB deals. You have until September 18th (tomorrow) to get a $10 catalina (off a $30 purchase) and there are some really good scenarios you can do.
Remember that there are TONS and TONS of P&G products and you do NOT have to do the same deal as I did. People have done deals getting Pampers diapers and more. What you want to do is get JUST over $30 then use as many coupons as you can to lower the out of pocket you are paying. Contrary to what some cashiers might say, the catalina will trigger once you hit $30 it does not matter if you are going to use coupons or not.
This is what I did:
Buy 6 Herbal Essence Lage Shampoo or Conditioner $4.97
Buy 2 Cover Girl Lip Products ( or eyeshadow or blush) $3.47
Use 3 FREE Herbal Essences Conditioner or Styler wyb Shampoo, exp. 10/31/12 (SS 09/16/12)
Use 6 HEB yellow $1 off Herbal Essence “B” coupons
Use $5/2 CoverGirl Lip Product, (RP 09/16/12)
Use 2 $1.25 HEB Yellow Coupon “B” Cover Girl
Total: $7.89
Get Back: $10 P&G Catalina ( $10 off a $30 purchase)
Final Cost: $4 money maker

* They had to suspend my transaction because they were out of register tape. Because they did this I knew my $10 catalina would not print. All I did was tell them I was expecting the catalina and they were able to put in the key code and print me a $10 P&G catalina. They have the ability to do this, just a heads up if that ever happens to you!
**ALSO if you do not see the $1 off “B” HEB coupons, make sure to look by the Aussie Products! They have the same coupons and you can also check in the front of the store where they have the wall of coupons. Make sure to look around!!!

I did the deal with the herbal essence and lip gloss, etc and made a killing with the coupons! Thank you so much! But the only thing that was different at my HEB was that they only gave me $3.97 back for each free Herbal essence (on the b1G1 offer) instead of $4.97 with the $1 stacked onto that. They said it was because it only cost $3.97 after their store coupon. The prices must vary at different stores too because the same lip gloss was $4.24 at my HEB. But still…I got 6 Herbal Essence, 4 lip gloss, 2 nail polish, 5 Ken’s dressings, and 10 Dean’s dip for $15.74 and then got the $10 printout back…so I am pretty excited! Thanks 🙂
Should a catalina have printed if I had my total at $29.31?
I had Covergirl Wetslicks lip gloss- $ 4.24, Covergirl lipstick- $3.97, Pantene shampoo- $5.58, Pantene conditioner- $5.58, Herbal Essence shampoo-$4.97, Herbal Essence- $4.97? And they also only let me use 1 $1.25 off Covergirl coupon? Could I have used 2?
Yes you should have been able to use 2. No it wouldn’t print if your P&G total before coupons was not over $30. It has to get over $30 to trigger the catalina 🙁
Darn! I was trying to hurry on my lunch break and thought it might be like CVS when you are so close it spits it out anyway! Oh well! Still a good haul after coupons!
So how is HEB on doing a missed q like target? Can I go back to get the $1.25 yellow Q taken off?

Sorry, but this is really bugging the math geek in me. If your total was $7.89, and you got back a $10 Catalina, how is that a $4 money maker? Shouldn’t it be a $2.11 money maker? Did I miss something?

Good morning, so I went to heb last night and left very upset… I did 2 transactions with the herbal ess and cover girl lip sticks and didnt get the catalinas so I got with the managers and the both said I had to spend 30.00 after coupons and of course said not true…well needless to say they didnt give the catalinas… what can I do?
I am really not sure why that happened, I wonder if it is just one store. I would return your items. I purchased the same items and was at $32 before coupons and $8 after coupons and mine printed. I am so sorry, that is very frustrating!
I was told same thing, total (after coupons) had to be more than $30 to get the 10dlla catalina. 🙁
