Paul gave a really good little tip on how we do our Bisquick and our pancake mix to save a little money, so I wanted to post it for you. Plus, he was a little sad no one thought his Shake Weight reference was funny…. I told him my readers have a better sense of humor and would appreciate it! 🙂
Here is a new $0.50 off select Bisquick products coupon that is available. I LOVE the shake and pour bottles but we all know that convenience costs money. Here is what we do to get the best of both worlds!

1. I take the shake and pour bottle and tap all the bisquick flat to the bottom and draw a fill line with a sharpie.
2. Clean out the bottle really good after you use it. Hot water cleans it all off fairly easy.
3. Either pour Bisquick from the larger box to the fill line or measure out the 10 oz and our it in right before you make pancakes the next time!
If you buy the big box it will bring the cost down to about $.75 a bottle for refills!
Yes, I realize you can use a mixer but shaking the bottles is not only fun but a great work out. it is obviously the inspiration for the Shake Weight!

Thanks Kay 🙂

I thought it was pretty funny, too. Maybe Paul’s readers (I read his blog) didn’t think that shaking pancake batter and then consuming the pancakes would be as effective as the shake weight, LOL!

I wonder if the smoothie mixer shakers could do the same thing. The Bisquick Shake and Pour bottle is 5.1 oz or 10.6 oz. Vitamin World sells a smoothie blender bottle which holds 28 oz and has the blender ball mixer in it. It costs $13.49 and there are always 40% off coupons in the Sunday paper for Vitamin World to make it $7.99. Then you don’t have to worry about cleaning the bottle out properly or odd shape to store it. Endlessly reusable.
