Hi Tiffany, I would like to know is there a specific order to hand cashier coupons at DG? Saturday I used the $5 off 25 coupon first then handed her additional mfg coupons. The cashier would not accept mfg said I was suppose to give them first? At my grocery store I always give the higher value ones first. I think (old brain) I read you were to hand their coupon first? Thank you for clearing this up for me.
I also had issues at DG last weekend. I did 2 transactions (my mom was with me to do the second). The first one was no problem, it was a little over $25, I used the $5 off coupon, then gave the cashier the rest of my coupons and got my total down to around $9. The second transaction however did not go so smoothly. I got a total of over $25, used the $5 off coupon, and handed over my other coupons. The razors (can’t remind the brand right now, either bic or shick) were on sale for $3.25, and I had a $3 off coupon. They couldn’t take the $3 coupons because the total of the razors after the $5 off coupon was less than $3. They wouldn’t adjust the coupon down. I ended up not using the $5 off coupon because it was a better deal (I had 3 razor coupons). I was wondering if that is their standard practice.
I am not as familiar with DG. I have not shopped there that often. I would email Anna and ask, she would know for sure. dollarstoredeals@gmail.com
