7up Biscuit Recipe to die for! STOP. Whatever you are planning on making for dinner, if you have these 4 ingredients you HAVE to make these biscuits tonight!! I made these the other night and I am still a ROCK STAR with my family! They were AWESOME!! If you have a Popeye’s in your area, these taste just like the biscuits from that drive-through!
I could seriously eat an entire pan with butter and jelly. PLUS, you probably do NOT even to buy a single thing to make these, I bet most of you already have it all in your pantry!
7 UP (or Sierra Mist) Biscuits
2 cups Bisquick
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup 7-up
1/4 cup melted butter
Cut sour cream into biscuit mix, add 7-Up. Makes a very soft dough.
Sprinkle additional biscuit mix on board or table and pat dough out. Cut biscuits into squares about 3×3. Melt 1/4 cup butter in a 9 inch square pan. Place cut biscuits in pan and bake at 450 degrees until golden brown.

I just wanted to tell you how much I love these biscuits!! I tried them two weeks ago. I have celiac so I have to eat gluten free. I just used Pamela’s baking mix instead of Bisquick (they do have a GF version but I just had the other on hand) and instead of sour cream I used plain greek yogurt. It was amazing. I saved a couple of calories!! They are super moist and easy to make!! I made a double batch for Easter. Thanks for sharing!!
Do you taste the sour cream? Neither one of us like sour cream so I am a little nervous about making them.
NO! You don’t at all! I promise!
I only had Mountain Dew on hand but was anxious to try this, so I did. Needless to say, they were very, very good. Bread is one of my guilty pleasures, so I have to limit how often I make these. They are irrestible!!
I tried these tonight with garlic powder on top. mmmm…. Also, there is a recipe for bisquick on Allrecipes that I use: “Biscuit Baking Mix” http://allrecipes.com/recipe/biscuit-baking-mix/detail.aspx?event8=1&prop24=SR_Title&e11=biscuit%20baking%20mix&e8=Quick%20Search&event10=1&e7=%2fmy%2frecipebox%2fdefault.aspx
pinch of sugar too!!!
I went straight to the kitchen and whipped these up…only had Sundrop (50 cents at Randall’s with coupon yesterday) instead of the other sodas, and it was delish! definitely reminds me of Popeyes!
Has anyone tried freezing the soda to use for later? We don’t regularly drink the citrus sodas, but I had a free bottle of Sierra Mist and tried these last night (worked with Pioneer Brand pancake mix as well). I was considering freezing the Sierra Mist in ice cubes, and taking out what I needed when we wanted to make biscuits. Anyone tried yet?
I couldn’t cut or pick up the dough. VERY soft. What did I do wrong? I followed the recipe to a T.
