I just thought I would give you a FREE public service announcement for the day…
First, on a side note, have you ever noticed that it is impossible for a blogger when typing the word “FREE” to not CAPITALIZE it?! I don’t think that it is physically possible for me to not type FREE in caps. It is like I do it in my sleep.
Back to the FREE information.
My daughter who is darling and sweet at 20 months old, would like you all to know that 1. Dove Ultimate Deodorant does NOT and I repeat NOT, taste as good as it looks. 2. She did not eat enough to hurt her, and probably won’t think it is a push up popsicle again. But always call if your child eats something strange. If you perhaps had a 20 month old that wanted to eat Dove deodorant for some reason. Not that we would know or anything….
If you have an exposure, you should call your local emergency number (such as 911) or the National Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222.

Glad to hear your little one wasn’t hurt!
It is times like this that we are reminded how nice it is to have a stockpile. In some households this would have created an extra perhaps even emergent trip to the store to replace this deodorant with another at the ridiculous regular prices that we NEVER pay!

My best friend and I called poison control the same day one time within an hour of each other. My son ate one of those silicone pouches that is sometimes in shoe boxes when you buy shoes. Thank goodness it was not really anything to be worried about. My best friend’s little girl was fine too (I can’t remember what she ate).

mmmmm….waiting for my little one to consume something that requires the poison control center – I have it programmed into my phone just in case! I am sure I ate some of my mothers lipstick growing up…

When my 4 year old was 2 she ate half a zinc tablet. How she chewed that without throwing up is beyond me (it wasn’t a chewable). She would have finished it off had I not caught her. Go figure she’s my picky eater….

When my son was a toddler I was really careful to only iron when he was napping and always put away the hot iron . What I didn’t count on was that he would walk up to the ironing board and press the button on the can of spray starch…which was aimed just perfectly to go right into his little eye! Poison control call time! LOL, now I think its funny that I actually ironed…would need about 20 minutes to even find my iron and ironing board now…and I am pretending not to see the laundry basket of to-be-ironed clothes that’s been living next to my bed for two months now.

Being a 911 dispatcher with 4 kids of my own 11,10,9 and 2…. Lots of things get “eaten” in my house but it is sad to say that most of the things I deal with on the Job help prepare me to so Its not that bad at home, LOL If there breathing and Holding pressure stops the flowing of Damage Were OK…… or maybe the job has just driven me crazy ! O and just in case it ever happens Bleach is non toxic per Poison control!! I was kinda shocked on that one…..
