I went tonight and the $5 off coupons beep, I even bought larger sizes of fish oil. I have heard the same from other people. After 20 minutes the manager finally put them in manually, but it was a battle.
OH NO!!
Does CVS allow the use of Q on free item?
CVS does allow a coupon on a free item. They just updated their policy to specifically state this. Does anyone know on the $30/10 gift card deal, does it have to be all in one transaction? Somehow I added things up wrong yesterday and ended up with $20 towards the total. If I go back today and get another $10 worth, will it trigger the gift card, or do I need to return the items and do it all in one transaction?
Debbie – their system keeps track of your totals for the GC deal and you’ll only need to buy $10 more worth of products to get the $10 GC. Check out your receipt at the bottom. It should give tell you exactly how much more you have to spend.
I have a question I am just starting to learn the couponing thing.
I noticed that you have 10 bottles and 10 coupons. I read in a book that you can usually use one coupon per product Even if it is a BOGO because technically it is a purchase. so my question is. Shouldn’t you be able to use more $5 off coupons if you had them say for example you buy 1 vitamin at BOGO that is $10 couldn’t you used 2 of the $5 off coupons? one for the paid bottle and one for the “free” bottle?
Ugh… Once again they didn’t take coupons on free items even when I showed then policy. Waiting to call customer device on Monday but I’ve about had it shopping at the drugstores.
Which CVS is this again?
Sunday I bought diapers and wipes to go towards the $30 purchase for $10 gift card. I needed $4 + change to complete the $30. I was looking for a high value coupon for coupons and found you posting. I printed out 2 q and bought 2 bottles of melatonin for $15.49 each. Gave the cashier the 2 $5 q. She had to manually enter them because it beeped. Total oop was $5.49 but I ended up with 2 (TWO) $10 gc. Not sure how my math went wrong but am not complaining. I am SO glad that you don’t have to buy the whole $30 at one time.
I meant high dollar coupons for vitamins
Used mine at 2 CVSs today. I used 5.00/1q on the free items and was able to apply overage to diapers which also counted toward Spend 30 get 10, along with a 4 off 20 I spent $8 and got 10gc. Very happy you posted about this. Thank You!!!
I ran into an issue trying to use the Qs on free items as well
I purchased 2 bottles of $23.00 vitamins and 2 bottles of fish oil that were 9.99 and both items were BOGO. I used 5.00 Q on the vitamins x2 and 2.00/fish oil Q x2. The cashier would not let me use the Qs on the free items and I asked for a manager but after holding up the line so long I finally left and asked who I could call. Then you call the number and they are closed on weekends. at least I got my 10.00 GC but it cost me $7.00 more than it should have.
By the way..can anyone explain to me how if you have a BOGO coupon on an itme that is on sale BOGO at CVS you will get it free? And do you get 2 items sinnce they are BOGO ? 4 items? seems one item would need to be paid for at least
