Here is a really HOT deal at HEB this week, thanks to a reader Tanya’s comment (I love you guys!). At HEB they have the Smart Ones dinners for 10 for $10 with the in-store “B” coupons. Because it is a “B” coupon you can use that yellow coupon + a $3 off manufacturer coupon with it!
To see more information on the “B” coupons you can go HERE and read about it.
This is what your deal will look like…
Buy 10 Smart Ones Dinners at $1 each
Use 1 HEB yellow “B” coupon
+ Use 1 $3/10 Smart Ones Printable coupon HERE
Total: $7 or $.70 a dinner!
OR if you want to make it even easier, you can take your HEB ad to Walmart and just price match the 10 for $10 price + use your $3 off coupon there!

I wish I could get this deal! I just checked the ad online for my nearest HEB (in Burleson, TX…near Ft. Worth) and our ad is different than the Houston area ad… I even looked at the Austin area ad and I didn’t see Smart Ones advertised either. Hmmm… I guess I didn’t realize that HEB ads were varied by region… 🙁

That stinks! I didn’t either!

You guys may get it next week or the week after. Our friend who used to work for heb told me that staggering some of the hot deals keeps from depleting the warehouses. Is this deal current or starting wed?

I just tried this deal at HEB Sawdust in The Woodlands and they told me that as of Dec. 31, 2011 they are no longer taking store and manufacturer coupons for the same item. Do you know anything about this new policy change?
Tiffany says
WHAT? I don’t think so. Did you ask for a manager, I wonder if it is a cashier that has no idea. Nothing has changed in the policy!
Deidre says
Just called store manager and she read over new policy and it states that they will still take store and manufacture coupons for same item. I’m going in for refund. I wish I would have had policy with me because he sure acted like he knew what was going on and now I have to make a second trip.
Tiffany says
Thats sucks for that trip but I am so glad to know!!

In an Elgin HEB ad (near Austin) it says $6 off 10 (with in store coupon) for the Smart One’s. Anyone know the regular price? Just wondering if this was even close to deal Houston has? You can also see their ads on-line…just search by ZIP

I live smack dab between the Hwy 6 store (bear creek) and the new ‘big’ HEB at barker cypress/290 in Houston. I pulled the ad up for the “big” store because I don’t get that one in the mail, I get the other one.
Husband and I ventured over there. MAD HOUSE!!! Seriously crowded, but many many good deals to be had.
We got a spiral cut ham reg $27 but had the ‘yellow cpns” $10 off AND there was a meal deal on it…got an additional $17 in products free! That ham will feed us for a week if I get creative! The prime rib also had $10 off ‘yellow cpns’ and the precooked turkeys had $5 yellow cpns and all were covered by the meal deal.
We got a HUGE bage of Cuties! I wish I had weighed it…but I did count them…26 for less than $5!
Precooked meatballs (kinda a small bag..gonna have to cut them in half to stretch them for a meal for my family). $3.48 but had another meal deal..so a great deal when you look at the freebies!
20 pack of cokes were $6.xx and had a $1 off a 20 or 24 pack M cpn that expires 1/31/12…
The smart ones were well stocked and some had the peel off $3/10 cpns right on them! and yes…there wasn’t an ad sale sign..just the little ring of $6 off yellow “B” …We got 30 only because husband takes one for lunch daily.
NY strips were in the family pack (3 or 4 to a package) and ran between just under $10 to $13 a pack. And they are the thick cut…not the thin ones. We got a 4 and a 3 pack for around $20… figured we would splurge a little..we haven’t had steak in quite awhile and there is always enough left over for me to cut up for beef stroganoff the next night.
One thing I will be watching closely is a HUGE basket walled bin of comfy fuzzy socks for $1!!! I am a huge fan of these…and they have sooo many I can see the possibility of them clearancing them down even further. I hope so…as I got about 15 pairs for Cmas and definitely saw a few other patterns I would like.
We then went to RANDALL’s for milk. 2 gallons for $5. Awesome deal! while there check out the mama mia frozen meatballs…reg $4.99 are 10 for $10 this week. We had to get a raincheck as they were sold out.
got the Fiber One cereal, special K bars and the nabisco snack crackers too. we rounded out the trip with 2 packs of the pillsbury sugar cookies (the kind that are precut) that were 2 for $3 and there was a blinky right there for $1/2. I figured if I make both packs…that’s still cheaper than buying oreos/chips ahoy for lunches. 🙂
PS: Ran into a fellow cpn shopper…we chatted on the cereal aisle while her daughter and my husband stood by rolling their eyes at us crazy coupon ladies..lol.

Foodtown has yellow onions .39 lb and I didn’t see this in the ad but found them in store….Strawberries for $1.60? something like that…I threw away my receipt..but I always grab a pack at anything less than $2 when I see them.

Could I take the HEB ad over to Target and make the deal- $10 for 10, minus $3 manufacture coupon, minus $3 target coupon, making it $4 for 10? That would be incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Corrin says
OOOOOHHHH I would like to know that too!!!
Layla G. says
I just checked Target’s website regarding price matching and this is what it says: Target does not ad match a competitors coupon-required offers.
So…if The HEB deal is 10 for $10 before the instore coupon, then GO TO TARGET!! (Can someone clarify if it is 10 for $10 before the coupon?)
Layla says
HELP!! Does anyone know if the HEB deal is 10 for $10 before the instore HEB coupon or is that AFTER the HEB instore coupon?
Tiffany says
After the coupon
Layla says
Darn…That would have been a fantastic deal to price match at target minus the target $3 off coupon and the manufacture $3 off coupon which would make it only $4 for 10…
