These are actually our cups of choice. Not only are they insulated but the plug comes out for easy cleaning. We have had problems in the past with getting the “sippy” part of the cup to come clean but these are great!
My cups never get too smelly. Our problem is the little plastic stopper thing in the lids. That part gets neglected and quite gross. Those tips sound pretty good, especially the denture tabs. We run all parts through dishwasher, but the stopper still has gunk in it. Qtip maybe?
I clean mine with bleach and water. get a bowl of water and pour about 1/4 to 1/2 cup bleach. let soak overnight and tehy wil be like new. Cleans all the mold and any bacteria. My kids get sick real easy and this is what teh Dr. told us to do often to clean cups, bottles etc.
Just did this deal at Target. These cups were 3.99 so mine was free! Worked perfectly.
I know all about the gunk in the plastic stopper thing. I hand wash mine in dawn and roll the stopper part between my thumb and pointer finger and then I use a toothpick to push out anything from the actual mouth part with the 3 holes.
I use a nipple brush in the stoppers, works really well.
Also my walmart has a stack of coupons by the photo dept register that has 5 free baby announcements on one side and $2 off a Playtex baby item on the other. Too bad I don’t have a Target!!
