Last January, when all the Christmas items went on sale for 90% off, I grabbed a few things that were straggling along that no one had bought. I tried to stay with the same deep red, lime green and gold. I looked for similar patterns, colors and styles. I bought one of something and one of another, I was not sure how it would come together or what I was using it for, but for 90% off and about $5 I was willing to take a chance!
The greenery is not even Christmas, I think it is more spring or wedding but honestly I don’t think it matter with the red and gold it looks Christmas…
I paid $1.70 for the greenery, $.90 for the red berries (5 picks), $1.99 lights at Lowe’s, $2.10 for the other picks, and I had the terrariums up on a shelf. I filled them with ornaments from my tree and stuck it on the mantle.
Total cost: about $5.50
For the bannister, I bought 2 evergreen swags that had lights for 75% off last year, they were $5 each. I spent $.65 on berry picks and $2.50 on ribbon, it was 75% off last January.
Total cost: $13.15
I spent $18.65 last year to decorate for this year. If I had walked in to Hobby Lobby today and bought everything it would have been about $110.

Remember the Yankee Candle sale??? My red and white striped ones are in my window sill next to my teal curtains and I’m dying over how much I love the contrast. Oh Christmas!

I shopped Hobby Lobby’s 90% off last year as well and bought decor that I could only admire from afar until the sale. I spent a little more that you but I adore what I purchased.
