I have a couple of questions about this deal. First of all, unless they changed their policy, Wal-Mart does not price match “get one free”s, do they? Also, technically, you’re only buying four items, so you should only be able to use two of the $1/2 coupons, right? Thanks.
Hi! Yes you can price match a BOGO as long as there is a stated price. This is from the ad match policy: We gladly match the price in the following types of ads:
Buy one, get one free ads with a specified price
Example: Buy one for $2.49, get one free (BOGO)
If you google “walmart price match policy” you can print a copy if you have any trouble at your store. You are technically buying 6 as you have to purchase that many to get 2 free. The number of items that has to be scanned at the register is technically the number of items you are purchasing regardless of the price of the item. In this case 2 happen to be free. But you are “purchasing” 6 so you can use 3 of the $1/2 coupons.
I had a problem this morning with wal-mart not wanting to honor the BOGO. They would not do it, so when I came home I looked it up, and sure enough they do as long as it has a stated price. Very frustrating that they have to be like that, and that the csm didn’t even know the coupon policy. She said it was a gimmick ad, and they would not honor it……SOoooooo frustrating!!!!!
They are trying to protect Walmart, can you imagine the daily scams they see as people try to get the best deal. Sometimes the customer is not always right.

I do not think so
very annoying. I drove all the way to a dollar general at lunch. This store doesn’t even carry chex! (even though it is in the ad). Apparently not all stores have the same inventory.
