My Randalls shopping trip with NO coupons! Saved 55%!

I had a little bit of fun Thursday night running into Randalls for a quick shopping trip challenge! See, my husband hogs my coupon binder and leaves it in his car. Between running kids all over kingdom come and conflicting schedules, he keeps forgetting to take it out and leave it where I can have it.

If we were ever to get divorced, the custody fight over the binder would be ugly. I would actually win though, because even if he ended up with it, as soon as they were all expired he would be out of luck because I am the only one who cuts them out! 🙂

O.K. enough of that. Sooooo, I thought the Randalls/Safeway ad looked good and so I wanted to run in to see what I could find but also do a little challenge to see how well I could do with no coupons. All I had were tear pads, blinkies and peelies. I really had to look as some were hard to see!

Randalls is running a buy 8 get $4 off sale, basically the same idea as a Kroger Mega Event.

My total before coupons was $68.51. After coupons and mix and match sale my total was $29.64! I saved 55% just by paying attention in the store and looking for deals as I was in there.
