If you’re looking to spruce up your table or mantel decor with something fresh – here’s a fun DIY! This Dollar Tree Succulents Centerpiece is a cute and easy little project to try this weekend.
Before you get started, you’ll want to pick up a few supplies for your local Dollar Tree and a small birdcage from a hobby or craft store. It doesn’t get much more frugal than that! (I also spotted this really cute decorative birdcage on Amazon for a steal!)
Dollar Tree Succulents Centerpiece
Here’s what you need:
- Metal birdcage (Michael’s Craft Store, dollar bins)
- Assorted faux succulents (Dollar Tree)
- Scrapbook paper or scrapbook tags (Michael’s Craft Store, dollar bins)
- Ribbon or twine
- Scissors
- Hot glue, glue gun
Directions:
1. Begin by removing the succulents from their pots and trimming back the stems.
2. Start arranging the succulents in the birdcage. Add a few dabs of hot glue to hold the succulents together and keep them arranged as you wish.
3. Pull some of the succulents through the cage so the arrangement looks natural.
4. Take your scrapbook tag or some colorful scrapbook paper and cut into a strip. Nestle it into the cage so it is visible from the front.
5. Add some ribbon or twine to the top of the cage for extra décor or for hanging purposes.
Your Dollar Tree succulents centerpiece is now ready to be displayed! If you need a few other frugal accents to transform a room – I’ve always thought these feather throw pillowcases were a TOTAL steal and totally cute besides!
