What a strange name for a deal site? Well, it has not always been a “deal” site. First, it is my families site, a place where I can post crazy stories about my fun kids and for extended family to read about them. When I started blogging it was strictly family, but then I was getting such good deals, and having so much fun couponing, that I started teaching friends and family how to do it. It got to be easier for me to post them so they could read them, then for me to tell everyone about what the deals were.
We had a friend of the family that always referred to my kids as a “Litter”, not many things bug me but that really did! One day she said it in front of my oldest kids, my oldest actually blew Orange Julius out his nose he was laughing so hard. The big kids for days talked about it and how funny it was to them. They started calling the little kids “their litter” and so my husband and then “adopted” the term affectionately.

oh wow…..IM SORRY!!! *hug* it’ll make for a funny story later, if thats any consolation. Dont they realize how expensive your Fleurville (I have one!) is?? 😛
Tiffany says
Thats why I LOVE Fleurville! I just wipe them off!

Wow, I’m so glad to know that I’m not the only mother who never gets to shower, at least not in peace! After my shower yesterday I found that my 3 year old had smeared LUBRIDERM lotion all over her window. She was “drawing a picture” for her little brother. I was so mad!
Amanda says
I totally understand! LOL And I only have 2!

hahaha, when you look back, it is kind of funny, right?
This is what happened the one time I tried to go shower: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=37843110&l=a9a1cb9f76&id=26102961
She kept telling me she was putting on her “good girl”.

Too funny!!! I have gotten to the point where I just quickly wash my hair on days when it is just my 2 year old and I home alone…and in that few seconds of time I am always yelling thru the open bathroom door, “where are you and what are you doing” I love your blog and especially the stories about your kids! Keep up the good work you are an inspiration!!!
Amy Saves says
He’s so cute! I used to be unable to shower back in the day too. It was a gamble every time I left my child to go shower. You’re so right!
Hope you were able to salvage your purse.

OMG!! Thank you soooo much for the good laugh. I needed it. My kids can drive me crazy sometimes with the things they come up with to do and it is really comforting to know that I am not alone. (=
Maria says
I totally know where you are coming from! These days a shower is a luxury, not a necessity. Showers are overrated anyway, aren’t they? Thanks for sharing your story with us. Your son is adorable!
Heidi says
I feel your pain, I only have 4 children but the oldest turned 5 the same month I had number 4. People think I run a daycare but they’re all mine and yes they all have the same daddy. 🙂
TucksMommy says
Heidi, the “Daddy” part made me laugh really hard & I don’t know why!
Marcy says
Good reason to use that 25% off coach and go get a new purse ; )
Melissa says
My goodness it brings back so many messes …..i mean memories…..My youngest is 6. Hang in there.

Thanks for sharing, I have 5 kids and can totally relate! BTW, my oldest is becoming a quite the coupon kid, she’s clipping out of a magazine right now, I’m so proud! Have you heard of the new Suave Dry Shampoo? I want to try it, for the days w/out shower.
Nix says
It will make your hair look clean, but don’t touch it! (It still feels gross).
TucksMommy says
Tiffany, WOW! My son has caused major damage too, once he filled in every line on our dining room bead board with a red permanent marker, another time he let our dogs in & spread dog food EVERYWHERE, it was like something from nat geo!

I love this post. My boyfriend travels Mon-Fri. to Canada every single week, which makes taking a shower with a 2 year old running around nearly impossible.
When she’s taking a nap, I try to get other things done around the house, and showering is like hitting the jackpot. lol
He doesn’t understand why I get so pissy when he is home for 2 days and I say, “Just PLEASE, don’t bother me. I want to take a SHOWER in PEACE!”
Susan says
Oh my goodness!! I can sooooo relate to this right now!! My 2 year old little boy (and the ONLY boy after FIVE girls) gets into almost anything if it is within his reach. I once caught him with his arms a little more than elbow deep in the tea pitcher. Not to mention the time he spilled a 4 quart pitcher of Kool Aid on the floor…If there is any fruit anywhere in reach or candy, etc. etc. it is fair game. I am currently needing to wash my hair but would rather wait till after the kids go to bed 😉
Jen says
LOVE IT! I took a shower once and put the 10 mo old in his crib, doing this means I can have a 5 minutes shower vs a 3 minute one! He was crying so I asked my 5 yr old to give him some cheerios… walked into the bedroom to find the entire box all over his bed and the floor “he looked hungry and needed more so I just gave him the box”… I haven’t showered since then and that was 8 months ago! :o) Thanks for all the stories, it makes everyone with many children relate and those with not so many saying “THIS is why we only have 1 or 2!” ;O)
Anna says
hahahaha that’s funny
Michelle says
Oh man I can so relate…. I’m a mother of 4 kids… and the 3 youngest are boys!!
Heidi M. says
I have 7. When I only had 4, I could relate. Now I have younger 4, I still can relate. LOL!! Teenagers and toddlers… quite the interesting combo!! While your teenagers were toddlers, you tried to shield them from everything. Now your toddlers know everything you didn’t want your teenagers to know at that age.
dana says
well isn’t that the truth, lol

My 2 boys are 5 yrs apart and 1 time I needed a quick shower after school ( I am a teacher). I put the baby about 10 months in the high chair with cheerios and turned on tv. Explaining to the older one who was 5 1/2 and VERY SMART watch him and don’t let him choke. Well the baby fell asleep and the older one decides to give his little brother a hair cut! 🙁 so I hear the baby fussing and run to the living room to find his brother had cut his beautiful BLOND curls off!~ I was a very sad mommy that day. And my son knows unless he goes to barber school he is never to cut any ones hair ever again! That was almost 10 years ago and they still laugh when I tell the story.
