Like I mentioned earlier we are going to Sea World during spring break. Many of you have emailed and asked if I found a good deal. NO I have not! I looked and looked and looked and didn’t really find anything. I swear I can find a deal on anything and this one has me stumped. So if anyone has any experience I would really appreciate a tip!
We chose Sea World because it had been a VERY long time since we had been and because I LOVE San Antonio. If you have never been it is worth a trip even if you live 3,000 miles away. It is a great city with a ton to do. You could spend a solid week and not be bored.
Here are some of my favorite things to do in San Antonio:
Alamo
Riverwalk
Natural Bridge Caverns
Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch
Six Flags
Sea World
We are just going to Sea World this time and eating on the Riverwalk. I appreciate the suggestions of Julie H. Mi Tierra in San Antonio. It’s in Market Square (El Mercado) and it’s open 24/7. It’s a Mexican restaurant and bakery that has been around for years and years. And Angela who reminded me to use Restruants.com to get a good deal!
The plan that I have for Sea World is to purchase Fun Card tickets for myself and 6 of the kids. Dang Rush, JUST turned 3 or he still would have been free! These are tickets that allow us to go in and out of the park for free all year long. I plan on buying 1 Passport (they are more expensive) for Paul. This will get us free parking and 20% off almost everything in the park.
The first day we will pack our lunch in a cooler and just come out to the car to eat lunch. This will give us a chance to check out the prices inside and what they have to offer. I have heard that they have a meal pass for $29, but I am not sure what that is about, and entails completely.
As you can see, any suggestions or advice would be appreciated! I am pretty excited. If we even go one more time this year it will really be worth it.

Hey Tiffany, did you check on the cabanas? I know during the summer time they rent them out, it comes with 6 food passes, 6 towels, sunblock, water, and sodas as well as it being private, fridge, safe, and Tv.

Use Restaurants.com to get a GC for Magic Time Machine in SA. The kids will love seeing all the waitstaff dressed as different movie/comic characters.

Sometimes the grocery stores in SA have cheaper tickets. And look for the discounts on soda cans too. We’ve also gotten discount coupons from the San Antonio paper and from signing up for the Visitors Bureau website. Good luck!

If you are staying overnight at a hotel, they usually have the little brochures in the lobby w/coupons for SeaWorld. Or just walk into any hotel and grab one. 😉

My uncle lives in San Antonio and I LOVE going to the Wildlife Ranch. I have a ton of awesome pictures on my blog from when we last went. Have fun in Sea World! Can you believe I’ve never been? haha 🙂

If you have a AAA membership you may be able to get a discount at the Seaworld ticket booth. Did a couple years ago. We love the Riverwalk.

I have not been to Sea World in SA but visited the one in San Diego last summer. We bought the meal pass and I thought it was a good deal. Can’t remember exactly how much, but I would buy it again. Sea World had the best food with fruit & veggies of any amusement park we visited.

I know this will not help you, but perhaps someone….
We live in San Diego and every year we make sure one of us buys a passport. They never check ID in the parking lot, so that person doesn’t have to go every time. The rest of us have fun passes. We also bring food. The security that checks bags have told me that they don’t mind as long as it is home packed (not a fast food place).
Last year, some friends came to town to visit. I actually found the best coupons for Sea World at McDonalds – buy one get one. My friend had done lots of research & couldn’t find tickets that came close to that discount.
