I have to share my experience with Amazon’s Customer Service. I was able to purchase this item yesterday for roughly $36 with shipping for my father who just told me last week he will be wheelchair bound in the next 6 months. He doesn’t have insurance and is applying for disability. And well with 4 kids out of 8 still living at home, a grandbaby and another on the way money is strapped. He is currently using a cane to get around while saving up for a wheelchair. When I saw this posted yesterday and I missed the deal I kept checking throughout the day. Well I purchased the item finally. But when I checked my account today it had been cancelled. I called Amazon to find out why; they did so much more then just tell me why. They actually matched the price to what I had paid yesterday and gave us 1 day shipping. My father should be receiving his Duet Walker by 8pm tomorrow. This will be a tremendous help and we aren’t breaking the bank! I feel like I have given him some of his freedom back. For a man in his 40s that has worked hard labor his entire life it’s hard to face the fact that walking is too hard on his body and that his spine is deteriorating as well as causing his muscles in his legs to lose strength, but with this he can gain some independence. He can actually look forward to Christmas shopping for his grandkids instead of sitting it out. Thank you! I really do appreciate the prayers and the time you take to post deals. Honestly it felt like this deal was sent to me. Last Thursday when I got the news I was baffled. He even started a fundraiser to raise money for himself as well as others in the community without insurance who need wheelchairs. Sometimes prayers are answered in the most unique ways and this was definitely an answered prayer. Even more so because when the order was cancelled I didn’t get discouraged. I simply called to see what happened and why. And honestly I normally wouldn’t have called just something told me to call. I’m just very thankful!
