Well, this is what happens when your 4 year old plays with your phone… $108.24 in apps downloaded. 🙁 One was a $99.99 Batman app. Which is crazy because I have a password lock on my iTunes account, if I want to buy a $.99 song I have to put in my password. How she was able to do this with no password is aggravating.
Have you had this happen? Were you able to get the charges reversed?
Lisa says
If you open iTunes from your computer you can login and go to your purchase history. From there click report a problem, and you can let them know it was an accidental download. I’m not sure how to do it from your phone though. They took my charges off without any problems. Good luck!

This has happened to me more than once and almost each time I was given a reimbursement.

YES! It was 127.00 and was an in-app purchase. I got the charges reversed but had to change all of my info in itunes after the problem was resolved. Good luck to you 🙂

Contact them and they will remove the charge.

Yes all charges removed. Now I have this extra security with att where no purchases what so ever can be made with my phone password or no password. That’s fine with me because I don’t buy apps lol 🙂
VB says
Mine were removed as well. it was only $25. Evidently, if you use your password for an authorized purchase and hand the phone over to your kid the password is not needed for about 15 minutes is what the rep told me. Which I think is what happened to me. Downloaded a “free” app and got dinged with in app purchases. Now I am very selective in the apps I download for my kids.

If you go into the setting on the phone you can block ‘in app’ purchases, which is most likely what happened.
But yes, they are very understanding and should be able to refund the charges. 🙂
Toni says
i had over 100.00 refunded from Apple. They were easy to work with and they understand
Melissa says
Yes got all reversed…did not know up front that it unlocks for 15 minutes – they walked me through turning off feature!
VB says
were you able to get them reversed?

This happened to us a few years ago with AMAZON for a kindle that our daughter had. She was in like 5th grade…she knew better. But it was over $400 in charges for apps. And in store apps. Meaning playing in the apps you get charged for things like extra lives, etc etc. I don’t play games so I had no idea. I love Amazon’s customer svc 99% of the time. But they would NOT reverse these fees. Lesson learned by all of us.
