McCormick has come out with 7 new Skillet Sauces, and I made 10 Minute Chicken Stir Fry last night for dinner! #winning!
The Skillet sauces are priced around $1.50 and make it super easy to have a fast and delicious dinner in no time. In fact, my friend Samantha dropped by to say hi for a few minutes and in the time she was chatting to my kids, I had made dinner!
I decided to try thy the Stir Fry skillet sauce. On the back is the ingredient list and recipe ideas. This is super simple as it called for chicken, veggies, and the sauce. I added some rice for it to be eaten on, and we were ready to go.
I salted the chicken and cooked it for 5 minutes in a little oil. Then I added the veggies, cooked that for 5 more minutes and added the sauce while the rice was boiling. When I was sure the chicken was cooked through we were ready to eat, the entire thing took just around 10 minutes to make!
This was a very inexpensive meal for my large family.
- Chicken $7.15
- McCormick Skillet Sauce $1.50
- Frozen Stir Fry Veggies $1 (on sale 10 for $10)
- White rice $1.50
For $11.15 I had dinner for 9 people. Which is a win in my book 🙂 You can find the sauces located in Walmart, HEB, and many other grocery stores in your area.
The thing I loved about the flavor in the sauce, is that these didn’t have that “I came from a bag” taste and actually tasted like I spent forever making the sauce from scratch. The flavors were just right, even for my little kids.
