Creamsicle Jello Cake
Serves: 12
  • Boxed Orangecake mix, prepared as directed (Lemon, yellow or white cake is okay too)
  • Small package of orange gelatin that serves 4
  • Tub of whipped topping
  1. Prepare the cake according to the box directions.
  2. Let it completely cool after it comes out of the oven (about an hour).
  3. Poke holes all over the cake with skewer, fork, straw, or beater handle.
  4. Empty the package of orange gelatin into a small bowl.
  5. Boil 1 cup of water and pour it over the gelatin.
  6. Stir to dissolve completely and then add 1 cup of cold water, stirring to cool.
  7. Pour the jello over the cake, letting it seep into the holes especially.
  8. Use a knife to go around the cake, loosening it from the edge of the pan a little.
  9. Place in the fridge for 2 hours to firm up.
  10. Once the cake is chilled, take it out of the fridge and spread whipped topping on it.
  11. Serve cold!
