CLOSED!
First, let me say, I bought these for me. As an anniversary present to myself.
I am not going to tell you how much they cost because my husband occasionally
looks at my blog.
But, it could possibly cause a divorce.
This is why I am giving them to one of you lucky readers, after you pry them from my hands.
I have VERY small earring holes in my ears. It is really hard to find earrings that fit me. I knew that and took a chance with these because I LOVED them sooooo much.
Why do I have small earring holes you ask?
I know you weren’t going to ask, but I am going to tell you.
Because my Mother pierced my ears when I was 12, sitting at our kitchen table. She used a can of cold Coke, a needle, thread and a potato. After she numbed my ears with the cold Coke she put the potato behind my ears and poked the needle through with the thread attached. When the thread was through, she cut it off the needle and tied the thread into a little loop that was an earring of sorts for a few weeks. Every day I would put rubbing alcohol on it and twist the thread around so it wouldn’t grow back over the thread.
This is why I have small holes.
And why I am now giving away these gorgeous earrings that I can’t wear.

I was 8 and I have no clue where I went. My mom planned on making me wait until I was older but I had my hair cut short due to gum and was being called a boy at school.
Love the earrings!

I was 7 (my birthday gift) and we had them done at a 'jewelery' store. Thankfully it wasn't at home. I do remember that it hurt!!
believe it or not I was 21 when I finally got them pierced. I was scared to whe I was younger and it took me that long to get brave enough. I now reward myself by wearing earrings

I got my ears pierced at the mall when I was in 5th grade. Then in high school I got a second hole. Then after each baby, my holes would close and I would get them repierced. So I have had my ears pierced 10 times.

I got my ears pierced at the mall. I was around 8. I don't remember too much about the experience but then I don't remember too much about anything. I do remember that my ears would be perfect for those fabulous earrings!!
I was 5 and got them done in the mall – lvn777 at charter dot net
I was 8 and we went to the mall. I remember it was in the middle of mall where everyone could see, so that helped a lot when they did it… I couldn't scream or anything.
I was 8 and I think it was at a Claire's or some similar store.
I got my ears pierced when I was 15, that summer we went to the Grand Canyon, and I fell in love with these perfectly cute turquoise heart earrings. My Step Mom and I talked my Dad into it. She pierced them with ice, rubbing alcohol, and rammed the earring right thru the earlobe. I remember hearing the sound as the earring went thru both sides of the ear lobe…it was wierd, didn't feel much until the ice/numbness wore off then my ears went very hot…very cute earrings.
Your story really makes my ears hurt! Earrings are GORGEOUS though!! I think I was about 10 or 12 and had mine done at Claire's. I have really big holes. Not really wide, but long. Kind of weird, lol.
I was seven and got them done at the doctor's office–my Dad did not trust anyone else to do it:-)
Ouch–I cannot imagine getting my ears pierced like that. I was 12 when I got mine pierced, my mother did not have her ears pierced, so she would not let me get mine done until my grandmother finally begged to take me at 12. We went to a place at the mall. My mom finally got hers done on her 50th birthday–right after she and my dad got divorced!
It was Valentines day and I was fourteen. Katie pierced them, we did ice instead of coke but the potato works really well. Mom almost killed us when she found out. Didn't speak to me for a week.
I have to admit that I don't usually enter contests, but I loved your question (and my answer) that I just had to comment!
I got my ears pierced when I was 7. My Dad took me as a surprise (to my mother as well!!!) to the mall and afterward we went out to dinner together. I remember it being such a special occasion to me and now I can't wait till my daughter turns 7 so I can take her (or maybe she will prefer her Daddy to take her!).
Thanks for the opportunity!
I got mine pierced when I was 8 (the beginning of third grade). My dad took me to Rich's – a department store that was the best place to shop in ATL in the 1960s and 70s. I had to have the left ear pierced twice – the first piercing was done at a downward angle and I could never get an earring to go in.
Thanks for the giveaway!
I was 16 (took me that long to get up the nerve) and luckily it was at the Mall! Love your blog—I have six kids also (10 if you count the two cats, the rabbit and the mean little hamster).
My mom made me wait until I was around 8. I'm pretty sure I cried, b/c I'm a wimp!! They eventually closed up. A few years later, I peirced again. Both times I did it at some jewelry store, like Claires.
My mother had my ears pierced when I was a n infant at the mall. The girl that performed the piercing slipped and I had a scratch that was on the back of my ear. An infection took over the scratch and subsequently that piercing. Try as she might my mother couldn't keep my ears clean enough to heal properly with the earrings in so she allowed he holes to close up. She always promised to take me in second grade, but succumbed to cancer the summer after first grade. When I was 14 my father had remarried and my step mother (think Cinderella, no really it helps picture her) allowed me to get my ears pierced only because my step sister had turned 13 and wanted a second hole. We received Claire's gift cards for Christmas. I got another hole my senior year of high school when my then boyfriend now husband got his pierced. Then my freshman year of college I got my third holes that never would stay clean and have since grown closed. Sorry it is so long…I am a talker. Found you through MSM- love your blog.
I got my ear's pierced when I was 5. I begged and begged my mom. So she took me to the mall with my grandma and grandpa. I cried and screamed through the whole process and then my grandpa bought me ice cream. It was the best.

I was 5 and I got my ears pierced at the mall. I don't remember much, but I do remember being very proud that I didn't cry!
I had to wait till I was 12 – family rule. I got them done at Claire's and just remember that the ear piercing device looked scary!
i was in 4th grade – so i was 9 years old or so, and i had it done, i believe at the local Ames or Zayre department store jewlery counter

I think I am among the youngest; I was 2 years old. The reason was my mom got sick of me trying to shove her earrings through my ears. So, her and my grandma took me to the beauty college on Halloween. I remember it because I cried not from the pain, but because I was scared for the black cat and witch that pierced both ears at the same time. It was apparently a life scaring experience.
I was 13yrs old when I got mine pierced.. it was at the BX (base exchange, kinda like your walmart but for the military) in Japan.
I was in 2nd grade, we went to the mall, Claire's, and my mom had my ears and little my sister's ears done on the same day. I later got my upper lobe done at a tattoo parlor when I was 18, then both upper lobes again at the Icing, I have since taken all the top piercings out since I work in an environment not good for earrings.
I follow you now….makes it sound like I'm a stalker. LOL!
Glad that your on facebook- I am a big fan.
I was 16–that was the earliest my parents would let me. I got them done at Claire's Boutique in the mall. I later got 3 more holes in each ear, but now I only wear earrings in one hole

I get an email digest sent to me everyday.
I was 12. Mom tried to talk me out of it and said I would regret it the rest of my life. She told me horror stories of friends who wore earrings too big and they had giant slits in their ears. I didn't care. Then she tried to talk me into letting her do it like she did yours-only I was freaked out at the thought and felt somehow it would be easier if I went to Claires. Good thing Mom went with me. I have perfect holes cause she made the lady put the dots on probably a hundred times til they looked perfectly straight. I was slightly embarrassed because the woman was talkin to mom about ears and boobs always being slightly off from each other. 12 years later, I still remember her left boob is bigger.
Whatever.
Then Tiffany Reddit bought me real pearl earrings and the Singermans bought me real gold butterflies. … and I've not regretted a day of earring wearing for 12 years. Booyah.
I was in 7th grade and couldn't wait. I chose the little diamond looking earrings, and I sat and stared at myself in the mirror forever (thinking I looked like a movie star).

I got my ears pierced at Dahlkampers dept. store (I don't think they even exist anymore) for my 6th birthday
I got my ears pierced at the local mall when I was twelve. I know. Exciting isn't it. But I did have to beg and beg my parents to let me get them pierced then. They were going to let me wait until I was 18 because it was a sign of "rebellion" lol.
I was 12 years old when I got my ears pierced. Old I know compared to today's standards. But It was a very big decision for me to goto the mall and get this done.

I was such a chicken about getting my ears pierced that I waited until I was 23! Had it done at WalMart.
I was eight and had them done with my little sister who was six at our local mall. We had to hide our ears with our hair from our Dad …needless to say it didn't last long. Opps!
Growing up in my family, the girls could not get our ears pierced until we were twelve. I was so excited. When I turned twelve I also had to get had a root canal. My mom took me to get my ears pierced after the root canal. (It was supposed to be something to look forward to after lots of pain.) We went to the mall and had it done at Claire's. I remember my dad telling me that in one day I had filled in one hole in my head only to make two more.
