CVS Trip October 17th

by Tiffany on October 18, 2009

After leaving this morning at 8am, 5 softball/baseball games, a fall festival at a church and having to shop with 5 hungry, dirty and tired children, this was as good as it was going to get!

New to CVS, watch my video HERE on how to make a transaction. You can also listen to my radio broadcast HERE explaining how to shop at CVS.

Transaction #1
14 bags of Lifesavers on sale for $1.50 each
Used 14 $1 off coupons (found inside the bags)
Used $2 ECB from last week
Paid $5.36, got back $5 in ECB for lifesavers ( when you buy $20, you get back $5)

Yes, I did open the lifesavers in the store and take the coupons out, I would have never done this if I had not intended to buy the item. The lifesavers that have the coupons are the hard individually wrapped kind, they also tell you on the bag that the coupon is inside.

Transaction #2
1 Dimetapp $5.50
1 Glade Fragrance $6.99
Used $2 Dimetapp printable coupon
Used $3 Glade coupon
Used $5 ECB from previous transaction
Paid $2.61, got back $6.99 ECB for Glade.

Transaction #3
3 Dimetapp $5.50
Used $2 Dimetapp printable
Used $6.99 ECB from previous purchase
Paid $3.51, got back $10 ECB for Dimetapp (when you buy $20, get $10 back)

Transaction #4
1 Revlon blush $9.99 (needed these)
1 Revlon eye liner on sale buy 1 get 1 free ( needed these)
2 Huggies wipes $3.49
Used $2/2 Huggies printable
Used 2 $1/1 Revlon coupon
Used $10 ECB from previous purchase
Paid $.34 cents!

WOW!!! I'm so very impressed. Not only be the transactions, but by the circumstances. You're amazing!

I can't believe you can shop at CVS with tired, hungry children! I can't do it with well fed rested children! I seem to mess something up EVERYTIME I take my kiddos.

It wasn't that much fun! I try as hard as I can to go to CVS by myself!

I tried to mix up the life savers and the nestles candy in the same transaction, and it didn't work for me. I did 9 bags of life savers, 2 bags of nestles, and 2 tridents.. all the candy was on the same page, but it didn't list anywhere for any of the candy that it was spend 20 get 5 in ECB's, on the ad. So, I got jipped! Maybe it wasn't that way, but I still feel jipped. And I couldn't not do the transaction, I opened all those bags of lifesavers! haha.

Laura,

Did you ask the cashier why it didn't print? Call customer service tomorrow and ask them or go back and ask the cashier to "force print" your ECB's.

I am looking at the add right in front of me and it appears to me that you bought the correct items.

You were at $15.50 with the gum and the lifesavers, so do the nestles put you over $20?

GO BACK with your receipt and ask them to tell you why it didn't print the ECB's! Let me know what happens. Email me if you have any trouble.

Well, in the ad it never said anywhere (not that I could find) that if you bought that amount of stuff that you'd get ECB's back. So, when I was there, I looked and looked, and since I was unable to find it, I couldn't ask him to print. No big deal… I'm out of practice for this, I need to brush up. I'll do better next time. :)
