Tonight as I was in Kroger frantically trying to make sure I got all the unadvertised mega event deals, I rounded a corner and saw a man taking peelies off all the Planters Peanuts. For a second I thought he was an employee, he was wearing dark blue slacks and a button up shirt.

I asked if he was taking peelies and he said yes.

“Do you want some?” he asked me.

“No, I only take them off if I am buying the product.” I said, irritated.

Then I informed him that taking peelies is stealing and that it is illegal in many states. As a peelie, once on a product is considered part of the product. It would be as if you were stealing the entire product.

He didn’t care. He walked away and started looking at all the coupon books in the display that was next to the peanuts. He saw me watching him and walked down an aisle. I looked at the peanuts and he had taken almost 30 peelies.

Not 1 minute later, I saw him walking down more aisles STEALING ALL THE COUPONS OFF THE TEAR PADS!! I am seriously pissed at this point and walk up front to find a manager. I grabbed Kathy (who is AWESOME) and let her know what is up. She marches over to him and let’s him know he is stealing and that he can’t be in the store when he is not purchasing something.

Then you know what the coward does? He doesn’t say a word and makes a beeline, almost running, out the front doors of the store.

I got back a little bit ago from my shopping trip to Kroger and wanted to update you on what I found… it has taken me longer than I wanted to post this, but we had a rogue baby with an entire chocolate bar melting on her hands. Now that the walls are clean and we can see her face, I found a computer!

First, I am happy to say my FREE $4 came off my total! You can see that post HERE on how to get the $4.

I loaded my Kroger card, and everything went perfectly with all my ecoupons.

** Now this is one of my favorite kind of shopping trips. Imagine someone in a super whiny voice explaining why they can’t be bothered to coupon, “coupons aren’t for anything *I* would eat or use” they whine. “O.K. that is fine, more for me” I think to myself. Then I look at the trip above and think to myself… I thew that trip together in 10 minutes, as I walked in the door from work. I had 40 minutes in the store while my girls were at dance to get it all. I saved over $50 and bought, organic cereal, milk, soap, makeup, Tide, Bounce, toothpaste, electric toothbrush, floss, shampoo and more! Yep! Not a single thing that any normal family would use

Total before coupons and e-coupons: $127.56

Total Savings: $75.10

Total Savings %: 60%

Final Total: $52.46!

There was a ton of close out items at my Kroger store, if you have a Kroger affiliate store I am guessing you will have a closeouts as well this time of year. I hate to take up an entire post with just the Wonka stuff but it is making me CRAZY! I *know* that there were coupons for Wonka that I JUST saw. I can’t find them anywhere, and they are not listed in the coupon database, so maybe I am crazy and didn’t see them. I just remember thinking that I was surprised that they were not expired.

Anyway, if there were any, Wonka chocolate would be a really good deal! Let me know if you have seen any!

There is also a BUNCH of HBA clearance in the cosmetic section. This is where I would have all my coupons with me and just walk the aisles looking for something good!

Along with the Johnsons and Johnsons baby close outs, there was the Jergens. There are a few coupons out there you could use on it. The clearance is different at most stores but I wanted to give you an idea of what you could expect.

As many of you know my parents live in Bejing China. They were just here for Christmas and as they were getting ready to go home they were trying to round up all the stuff that they love and can’t get here. They LOVE the Oral B GLIDE floss! My Dad had me grab him some at Walmart before they went home, the 2 pack is $5.50. I spent $35 on floss and thought I was going to throw up! I am used to getting mine for free, I will admit the Glide is REALLY nice, and I am used to cheap…

So onto the deal ( which I WISH had been around when they were here!) I loaded my Kroger card with e-coupons and was planning on getting the Glide ( cheaper, so I had some when they came back) when I noticed that the white pack of “Essential” floss was only $1.29 normally. This is where just because something is on sale, doesn’t mean that it is a better deal. Here is the delima… do I get the nice Glide for $1.69 OR do I get the cheaper for $.29…

What would you do??

Kroger has the Hormel Natural Lunch meat on sale this week for $3 a package. Plus there is a free $.50 Hormel printable HERE. Making it only $2.50 a pack, OR if your Kroger still doubles, only $2 a pack!

Did you know you could freeze lunch meat? When ever I get a really good deal on lunch meat, I toss it in the freezer to stock up on it esp. during the school year! Sorry, for the random comment!

** The other day I posted this way to get an extra $4 off from Kroger on your P&G purchases. You can see that post HERE. It took me forever to try and get the $4, I have no idea how it happened but it finally did! Reader Lori ( thank you! we love you!) figured out how to do it! 

“I think I figured out the problem. If you click the “sign in” at the top of the home page, it does not work. Scroll down the home page and click on the “Save More with Digital Coupons.” You will then be asked to sign in. Then you will see the page asking you to enter the email address of four people. Then submit and it will take you to your coupons. I did not see the $4 e-coupon at first. After reloading, I saw it on the last page of my coupons.”

If you type in 4 friends and submit, Kroger will then add $4 more dollars for FREE to your card! When you are shopping and you buy 4 P&G items, not only are you going to get the $4 off for the mega event, but you will also get $4 off for telling friends, for a total of $8 off!!!
